Judge/Staff Interaction

Judges and event staff will be housed at the host hotel alongside competitors during the conference. At no time is it appropriate for competitors or advisors to approach, engage, or communicate with judges or event staff regarding any competitive event before or after competition. This includes, but is not limited to, discussions related to event content, performance, scoring, rulings, or outcomes.

TPSA relies on volunteer judges to provide professional, unbiased evaluations, and it is essential that they feel comfortable and free from influence at all times. Any attempt by a competitor or advisor to engage judges or event staff in event-related discussion outside of official competition procedures compromises the integrity of the event.

Failure to comply with this policy will result in forfeiture of any awards by the offending individual(s), team(s), and/or chapter, as determined by TPSA.
